What the world needs is a little nudge

Capsule
We're about sensations, especially tactile ones. All of our products are designed to provide tactile sensations from the soft and rubbery silicone to the hard and smooth stainless and titanium. We find that tactile sensations have gone overlooked in the computer era -- dominated by sound and graphics -- so we strive to enhance that property.

We design and create for others

Chanel Knob
We have been designing and building unique technology for years -- for others. We started our careers as designers and techies in Tokyo and New York City and have worked for many significant companies over the years. Although we enjoyed our work, we had always held onto a dream of working for ourselves.

Space age materials

The modern world contains sleek iPhones and iPads, cool bendy Androids, and trendy headphones. Nevermind our surroundings of the like-minded Tesla, slick Frank Gehrybuildings and modernist furniture. But whatever happened to the things we wear on our wrists, neck and ears. Their Victorian era and just don't match up with much else going on.

Wabi-sabi. Imperfect is perfect

The other leading influence on us -- along with tactility -- is Wabi-sabi. Wab-sabi is a Japanese aesthetic philosophy that embraces impermanence and authenticity in design and art. It is often described as finding beauty in the imperfect, incomplete, and unconventional. The term 'wabi' refers to simplicity, humility, and austerity, while 'sabi' refers to the beauty that comes with age and the passage of time. Together, they embody the idea of finding beauty in the natural world, including objects that are flawed, weathered, or aged.
